Capybara Sleep uses your phone’s microphone and a neural network to analyze the sounds you make while sleeping. The app detects sleep phases, records sound events — snoring, talking, coughing and others (12 categories in total) — and builds a detailed report with recommendations.

No. All sound processing happens locally on your device. Audio recordings, analysis results and recommendations are stored only on your phone. We don’t collect, transmit or have access to your sleep data.

The alarm tracks your sleep phases and wakes you at the best moment — during a light phase within your chosen window. And to make sure you actually wake up, there are 5 challenges: solving math, memorizing a sequence, shaking the phone, walking around the room and more.

No, the app is optimized to run in the background. Overnight battery use is around 10–14%. Close other apps to reduce usage and improve recording stability. We recommend keeping your phone on the charger so it’s ready by morning.

The app has a library of 37+ tracks — nature sounds, relaxing, meditative and more. You can switch tracks and set a sleep timer. You can also upload your own music.
